DIY Side or Coffee Table in minutes.
Looking for a a virtually FREE way to freshen up a space? Make your own little coffee table or side table out of things you have around the house. The only thing this will cost you is several minutes of your time!
We can all get sick of the same room arrangement and decor from time to time and most of us do not have the money or the time to buy all new furniture or re-arrange and entire room. I find that freshening up one little area can change the room’s entire mood as well as mine! It’s also kind of fun to go treasure hunting in your own house. Get the kids involved in finding useful pieces then get creative together!
Here’s What You Need:
Your Base: a forgotten table, garden stool or even a step stool work great; Be creative and see what you have lying around the attic, basement or playroom. Anything that will be sturdy enough to support a top and display items will work fine.
Your Top: A Tray, Large Book, Artwork, or any large flat item that could be placed on your base.
Your Decor: Pick out 4 special items that will create your new l table’s tablescape. Get the older kids involved by asking them to each pick a piece of a certain color or design. Have little ones in the house?
Tablescapes can be fun and safe for the kids. Wooden puzzles, interestingly shaped toys, and books make great display items!
For my table, I used an old Garage sale find that was sitting in my basement waiting for rehab as the base with a gorgeous tray my friends had gifted me and then my 4 tablescape pieces (a stack of magazines, a growler with dried flowers, an antique bottle from garage sale with one of my garden’s dried hydrangeas and a candle of course.)
Here’s What You Do:
Put the top on the base and then arrange your items as your little tablescape. It’s literally THAT easy to feel so good at life!
I can’t wait to see the awesome table YOU create! Share your pictures with us on Facebook, Istagram, and Pinterest and #SoGALIDI (So Good At Life I Did It!)
