DIY Spring Hose Wreath! with stuff you probably already have…
I did not invent the hose wreath but I totally wish I did! This project was so easy and fun… and even better, it makes me feel like Spring really is coming! This is the type of DIY that you can really make your own using just things you already have around the house. I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do with it until I started and in about 15 minutes I have a new wreath that I adore!
Got 15 minutes and an old hose laying around? I think you should give it a try!
Here are The items I would recommend gathering before you start the project:
1 small hose (try to work out the kinks as best as you can. Straighten it and leave it that way while you gather the rest of your materials.)
Florist’s wire. I actually ran out so I used a combination of wire and twine. Anything will work as long as it something that is very strong and can be pulled really tight.
Garden gloves, or something else you would like to have hang down as a kind of bow. You could make a bow too. I’m thinking other little seasonal hanging decorations would look cute there as well: Old or antique garden tools, Easter egg dippers, Flower seed packets, mini birdhouse, etc. would look really cute.
Some silk, plastic, or dried flowers
Seasonal bling: whatever you have/like. I used Easter eggs, Leprechaun hats, and an Irish cross.
Here’s What You Do:
Form the hose into the size circle you would like and be mindful of how/where you want the ends to lay. Again work out any kinks that look weird or will cause the wreath to look awkward. Then use your wire, string, or twine to tie the hose together– tightly!! Leave a loop in the back that you can use to hang your hose wreath. Leave the two ends tied off but open on the front to begin adding your décor. Start adding your flowers. Florist’s wire makes it easy to attach layers by simply twisting one small piece or bunch at a time. Continue to layer, add accents on picks or with the wire or twine. Tweak until you have the look you desire… and just like that! you have got yourself a one of a kind hose wreath! We showed you ours, now show us yours! #SoGALIDI on Facebook and Instagram
